We've got a Single Game Showdown tonight — ATH @ SF at Oracle Park, first pitch 9:45PM EDT. We're stacking five Athletics bats against Tyler Mahle with Jonah Cox as the Giants bring-back: Tyler Soderstrom takes the 1.5x MVP, alongside Nick Kurtz, Jacob Wilson, Lawrence Butler and Shea Langeliers.

Tyler Soderstrom — MVP, $16,800

Soderstrom takes the 1.5x and he's the spend-up this lineup is built around — a left-handed power bat at an .835 OPS with a .469 SLG, .214 ISO and 7 HR vs RHP. He draws Tyler Mahle, who's been hittable at a 6.04 ERA, a 1.54 WHIP and a 1.75 HR/9, and the history is on his side: Solid head-to-head vs Mahle — .500 AVG / .500 OBP / .667 SLG / 1.167 OPS in 6 AB (3 H, 1 XBH). The cool Oracle night isn't a launch pad, but a bat this good against a struggling arm is the highest-ceiling MVP on the board.

Nick Kurtz — UTIL, $13,800

Kurtz is the power centerpiece of the Athletics stack and one of the hottest bats around — a 1.052 OPS with a .587 SLG, .291 ISO and 13 HR vs RHP. He's into the same hittable Mahle matchup, and the head-to-head backs it up: Solid head-to-head vs Mahle — .200 AVG / .200 OBP / .800 SLG / 1.000 OPS in 5 AB (1 H, 1 XBH, 1 HR, 3 RBI). The biggest bat outside the MVP slot.

Jacob Wilson — UTIL, $7,600

Wilson is the contact piece in the Athletics stack — a .709 OPS with a strong bat-to-ball profile vs RHP. As a right-handed bat he steps into the side of the platoon where Mahle's been tagged hardest, into a starter handing out a 1.54 WHIP. Same Oracle environment as the rest of the Oakland group, and a clear path to reaching base.

Lawrence Butler — UTIL, $5,200

Butler is the value-and-speed piece in the Athletics stack — 5 HR and 3 SB vs RHP with the pop to punish a mistake. Same hittable Mahle matchup the rest of the group is attacking, and at $5,200 he's a cheap way to extend the stack against a starter with a 6.04 ERA. A correlated dart with a multi-category ceiling.

Shea Langeliers — UTIL, $12,200

Langeliers is the right-handed power bat in the Athletics stack — a .779 OPS with a .462 SLG, .217 ISO and 12 HR vs RHP. He's into the same Mahle line that's been hit hard from both sides, and a slugger of his power against a struggling arm is exactly the spot to pay up. A core piece in the heart of the Oakland group.

Jonah Cox — UTIL, $4,000

Cox is the Giants bring-back and the lone piece from the other side. He draws a tough one in young left-hander Gage Jump, but at $4,000 he's a cheap dart from the home side — the kind of punt that wins if San Francisco can scratch across a run. He's the cheap coverage if the Giants answer in this one.

The lineup at a glance — Soderstrom anchors at the 1.5x MVP with the Athletics stack of Kurtz, Wilson, Butler and Langeliers all hammering a hittable Tyler Mahle in a cool Oracle Park. Kurtz and Langeliers are the power centerpieces, and Cox is the cheap Giants bring-back. We're betting on a deep Oakland lineup against a struggling arm. Two of our six bats — Soderstrom and Kurtz — line up against the exact pitcher they've performed against historically.

Let's have a big night! 💰🔥
