We've got a Single Game Showdown this afternoon — TB @ LAA at Angel Stadium, first pitch 4:07PM EDT. We're going heavy Tampa Bay with Junior Caminero in the 1.5x seat and four Rays bats attacking Grayson Rodriguez, whose 8.10 ERA comes with a 6.67 xERA and a hard-contact profile that says the Rays get to him, plus a two-man Angels side in Siri and Adell. The whole thing comes in right at cap.
Junior Caminero — MVP (1.5x), 3B, $18,600
Caminero is the captain, and the matchup fits the pay-up. He's hitting .272 / .354 / .489 / .843 with 11 HR and a .217 ISO vs. RHP, with a 48.5% HardHit% overall, and he draws Grayson Rodriguez in the middle of a rough run since returning — an 8.10 ERA, 6.67 xERA, 1.80 WHIP, 5.01 BB/9 and a 52.0% HardHit% allowed. Hitting in the heart of the order, every mistake Rodriguez leaves up is a 1.5x event. It's a warm afternoon at Angel Stadium with the wind nudging out around 9 MPH — a hitter-friendly setup.
Chandler Simpson — UTIL, OF, $8,600
The speed engine of the lineup. Simpson is hitting .296 with a .341 OBP vs. RHP and has elite wheels — a stolen base whenever he reaches — and he takes the left side against a Rodriguez split that hands out 6.35 BB/9 and a 2.38 HR/9 to left-handed bats. Against a pitcher giving away free passes, Simpson reaches and immediately becomes a threat to score in front of the Tampa Bay order.
Richie Palacios — UTIL, OF, $7,000
The on-base value with speed of his own. Palacios brings a 13% BB% and a .338 OBP vs. RHP plus 7 steals, and he takes the same left-handed edge into Rodriguez's leaky split. At $7,000, the walk-and-run profile is a cheap source of points against a pitcher who can't find the zone against lefties.
Jose Siri — UTIL, OF, $5,200
The Angels' value swing and a power-and-speed profile in a plus spot. Siri is mashing right-handed pitching — .321 / .500 SLG / .867 OPS with a 17.6% Barrel% overall — and while Tampa Bay opens with Casey Legumina (3.07 ERA, 3.95 xERA, 0.61 HR/9), left-hander Ian Seymour looks to follow, and Seymour walks 5.95 per nine to right-handed bats. Siri gets the platoon edge once that switch happens, at just $5,200.
Yandy Díaz — UTIL, 1B, $12,800
The spend-up bat of the Rays cluster and the highest floor in the game. Díaz is hitting .324 / .405 / .517 / .922 with 8 HR and a .402 OBP vs. RHP — elite on-base with real pop — and he attacks the same Rodriguez line that is bleeding hard contact and walks. Hitting near the top of the Tampa order, Díaz combines a rock-solid floor with the power ceiling this stack is built around.
Jo Adell — UTIL, OF, $7,800
The power ceiling of the Angels side. Adell has 10 HR with an 8.6% Barrel% overall, and like Siri he takes the right-handed edge against the left-handed Seymour profile that follows the opener, with its 5.95 BB/9 to righties. At $7,800, the over-the-fence upside on a power bat in a warm Angel Stadium is the cross-team leverage this card needs.
The lineup at a glance — Junior Caminero takes the 1.5x with Yandy Díaz beside him, two right-handed bats attacking Grayson Rodriguez's 6.67 xERA and 52% HardHit% in a warm Angel Stadium; Chandler Simpson and Richie Palacios add speed and on-base from the left side against a pitcher walking 6.35 per nine to lefties; and Jose Siri and Jo Adell cover the Angels, with left-hander Ian Seymour — who walks 5.95 per nine to righties — likely following opener Casey Legumina.
Let's have a big day! 💰🔥
