Welcome to Brett's Tailgate — Let's Get This Thing Rolling

First off — thank you. Whether you've been riding with me on X for years or you're just stumbling across the name "Brett's Tailgate" for the first time, the fact that you took a second out of your day to click over here means the world. This site exists because of you, and I don't take that for granted.

So let me tell you what this place is, where it's going, and what you can expect.

The Mission

Brett's Tailgate is built on one simple idea: giving you the pregame edge you've been missing — for free.

At launch, everything on this site is 100% free. The DFS picks, the Pick'em plays, the slate breakdowns, the strategy content — all of it. My goal out of the gate is to build a trusted home for DFS and Pick'em content that grinders actually want to come back to every day, and the best way to do that is to put the work out there and let it speak for itself. Down the road, there will be a premium section with deeper tools and content for players who want to go even further — but a strong base of solid data, picks, and analysis will always live on this site, free and open to everyone.

What to Expect Early On

We're launching with the basics — the same type of content and lineup info you've come to expect from following me on X, now organized in a clean, searchable home instead of a scrolling timeline. Daily picks, slate notes, and breakdowns across MLB (we're timing this launch with baseball season for a reason), with NHL, NBA, NFL, PGA, MMA, and NASCAR coverage rolling in as their seasons heat up.

In the background, we're building out the bigger platform — deeper strategy guides, video content on YouTube, a newsletter, and a bunch of stuff I'm not going to spoil yet. The goal was to get the site live and in your hands rather than wait until everything was perfect. Consider this version 1.0. It'll grow fast.

For Those New Here

If this is your first time coming across my stuff, real quick — I'm a DFS and Pick'em grinder who's been putting out picks and analysis to the community for a while now. You can read the longer version of my story on the About page, but here's the short version:

I spent the last 20 years in the hospital field, most recently doing data analysis — digging into numbers, spotting trends, and turning data into decisions. Turns out that skill set translates pretty well to breaking down slates and finding edges on PrizePicks, Underdog, and Sleeper. But my first passion has always been sports. Always. And now I'm finally getting to combine the two and do this full-time. This isn't a side project or a hobby blog. It's the thing I'm pouring everything into.

That's a big step, and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a little terrifying. But the only way this works is if I treat it like what it is — a real business built to serve the DFS community I've been a part of for years.
