9-game FanDuel MLB Main Slate, first pitch 7:10PM EDT. Shane Baz anchors the mound against the Angels, and we attack a slate full of battered arms — a four-man Orioles stack going after a disastrous Ryan Johnson, Ceddanne Rafaela at Coors, a Braves pair, and Corbin Carroll.

On the mound, we're rolling with Shane Baz (P, $8,400). He's the spend-up at pitcher and the strikeout play — a 4.04 ERA with a 7.69 K/9 and just a 0.81 HR/9. The swing-and-miss is the draw here, giving him a high ceiling against an Angels lineup, and at this price his strikeout upside anchors the lineup. A high-K arm to build around.

Samuel Basallo — C/1B, $2,800

Basallo is the value bat that headlines the Orioles stack, a left-handed power piece — an .838 OPS with a .500 SLG, .228 ISO and 9 HR vs RHP. He draws Ryan Johnson, who has been an absolute disaster: a 12.83 ERA, a 2.33 WHIP, a 5.40 BB/9 and a .359 AVG against on top of a 6.26 xERA. At $2,800 he's the cheapest way into the softest pitcher matchup on the board.

Ozzie Albies — 2B, $3,200

Albies is the value piece in the Braves spot and a switch-hitter who turns to the left side against German Marquez — a starter crushed by lefties at a 7.88 ERA and a 5.63 BB/9 vs LHH. Winds are blowing in at Petco, so this is more of an on-base-and-traffic spot than a launch one, but the history is loud: Solid head-to-head vs Marquez — .375 AVG / .375 OBP / .750 SLG / 1.125 OPS in 16 AB (6 H, 2 XBH, 2 HR, 2 RBI).

Coby Mayo — 3B, $2,600

Mayo is the punt that funds the lineup, a right-handed bat with big raw power into the same Ryan Johnson collapse. The surface numbers have been quiet, but a starter posting a 12.83 ERA and walking 5.40 per nine hands even a cold bat a real path to points, and at $2,600 he's the salary reliever that lets us pay up elsewhere. A cheap swing at the worst pitching line on the slate.

Gunnar Henderson — SS, $3,300

Henderson is the star power-and-speed bat in the Orioles stack — 10 HR and 5 SB vs RHP — into the same Johnson matchup the rest of Baltimore is attacking. A right-hander handing out a .359 average against and nearly four homers per nine is exactly the spot to stack around, and Henderson's ceiling at a neutral Angel Stadium is among the highest in the group.

Michael Harris II — OF, $3,300

Harris is the second Braves bat into Marquez's vs-LHH collapse, a left-handed hitter at an .870 OPS with a .531 SLG and 10 HR vs RHP. Same wind-in Petco environment as Albies, so the focus is on-base and traffic against a starter walking nearly six per nine to lefties. He extends the Atlanta side of the lineup in a plus matchup.

Ceddanne Rafaela — OF, $3,300

Rafaela is the Coors leverage play and rakes against lefties — a .906 OPS with a .548 SLG and .241 ISO vs LHP. He draws Sean Sullivan, who has been demolished by righties at a 12.60 ERA and a .364 AVG against vs RHH, and Coors Field park factors lift offensive production with the ball carrying. That's about as good as a single-bat spot gets.

Corbin Carroll — OF, $4,000

Carroll is the power-and-speed piece against Kyle Leahy, a right-hander crushed by lefties at a 5.30 ERA, an 8.07 BB/9 and a 4.29 HR/9 vs LHH. Carroll brings an .820 OPS with a .489 SLG, .260 ISO and 10 HR vs RHP, the perfect left-handed bat to attack that collapse at a neutral Busch Stadium. A clean leverage swing.

Pete Alonso — UTIL, $3,700

Alonso is the right-handed power centerpiece of the Orioles stack — an .863 OPS with a .511 SLG, .253 ISO and 15 HR vs RHP — into the same Ryan Johnson disaster. A starter getting hit at a .359 clip with a 6.26 xERA is exactly the line a slugger like Alonso punishes, in a neutral Angel Stadium where the bat travels. He's the big swing at the heart of the Baltimore group.

The lineup at a glance — Baz anchors with a strikeout ceiling against the Angels, and the four-man Orioles stack of Basallo, Mayo, Henderson and Alonso is the centerpiece, hammering a Ryan Johnson line that's collapsed to a 12.83 ERA. Rafaela gets the Coors leverage against a battered Sullivan, Carroll attacks Leahy's vs-LHH collapse, and the Braves pair of Albies and Harris goes after Marquez in a wind-in Petco where the focus is traffic over power. One of our eight bats — Albies — lines up against the exact pitcher he's performed against historically.

Let's have a big night! 💰🔥
